Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can we pay?
   Cash on arrival. There are several ATMs in Otavi: Standard Bank, FNB, Bank Windhoek (at Fourways petrol station). Or you can transfer money in advance and bring the transfer receipt with you for check in.
2. When can we check in?
   We are flexible. You can check in around the clock. However, it is helpful if you inform us in advance of your probale arrival time.
3. What time do we have to check out?
   You should have handed in the key by 12:00 noon. If you are going to be late, please discuss this with reception.
4. How do we get to Stop 'n Stay Otavi Rest Camp?
   Stop 'n Stay is only 1700 m from B 1. At the Tsumeb/Grootfontein junction (petrol station Fourways) you tun into the town of Otavi and keep in the direction of Outjo. After the railway crossing turn left and drive straight on until you see the Rest Camp. You can also follow our local signs.
5. We travel to Otavi by minibus and need a taxi to/from the camp?
   Our reception will be happy to call a reliable taxi for you.
6. Are there power sockets in the camp?
   Each room and campsite has its own South African three-point power sockets. For Euro plugs you will need an adapter.
7. Can we have our laundry washed?
   Many things are possible on request at the reception.
8. Can we surf the internet?
   There is free Wi-Fi throughout the camp.
9. What can we eat at the camp?
   Stop 'n Stay offers breakfast from 7:30 AM. If you want to have breakfast earlier, please let the reception know the night before. During the day and in the evening we can offer you warm snacks. We can prepare a dinner for you with advance notice. Drinks are available around the clock.
10. Can we bring our dog?
    Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Of course, their owners are responsible for the animals.
11. When do I get a discount?
    We offer a discount for longer stays. Please clarify this in advance with the reception.
12. Is there hot water?
    Of course. But our cold water also tastes delicious.
